The Ethics of Handling Burnout with Jennifer Yaeger
When examining the ways in which we practice being ethical clinicians, it is critical that we are mindful of the symptoms of burnout and compassion fatigue in ourselves. Many clinicians find themselves at a loss when it comes to effectively managing and recovering from these symptoms. In our upcoming sessions, we'll delve deeper into understanding burnout, recognizing its indicators, and exploring general strategies for coping. Additionally, we'll engage in specific exercises aimed at alleviating these symptoms.
**5 hours fulfilling Ethics LPC and APC requirements, once approved by LPCAGA.
Learning Objectives:
1. Learn about compassion fatigue and burnout.
2. Examine what burnout looks like and how it manifests.
3. Learn at least three methods of handling burnout in themselves, ethically.
4. Participants will practice at least three modalities of expressive art therapy to utilize to reduce symptoms of burnout.
