The G.E.Y. Agenda: Working with Trans and Gender Expansive Youth with April Jacobs
This comprehensive training aims to equip therapists with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively support trans, non-binary, and gender expansive youth and their families in a compassionate and affirming manner. Participants will gain insight into the experiences and struggles faced by this demographic, exploring the intricacies of gender identity and expression. Through interactive discussions and case studies, participants will learn information to address therapist bias and therapeutic techniques to promote positive mental health outcomes, cultivate trust and understanding, and build a foundation for a resilient therapeutic alliance. By the end of this training, therapists will be empowered to provide inclusive and culturally competent care, fostering an environment where trans, non-binary, and gender expansive youth feel seen, validated, and supported on their individual journeys.
